I there any value to this 1901 penny? WE see This kind of currency once in a life time here. Just found it at a garage sale this past summer. and now I have found it again so I thought I would post to the board. Thansk all.

That is indeed a British penny from 1901. I would grade this one as Fine, which is valued at about 35 cents. It is surprising that this coin is not worth very much, but there were many made this year and many were hoarded due to it being the year that Queen Victoria died.

I always thought of them as 10 pence coins - with today's rate of exchange and the financial breakdown I'd say more like 15 cents :P
