Here is a document you may be interested in regarding the history of the ANACS slabs that was posted by Burton Strauss III (BStrauss3 in this thread) elsewhere I found interesting. https://docs.google.com/presentatio...nAA51ErVhLf8

It is a old legit slab perhaps undergraded to the standards of today in these old slabs generally sometimes if its been held by one collector since it was graded, but if its been held by numerous collectors who never cracked it out and resubmitted it its possible in that case it could be over graded. Regardless the old slabs are desired by some collectors beyond the coin itself.

Grade looks good. I have had some luck getting Indian Head cents in old ANA slabs into higher grades at PCGS. Last one went from a 62RB to a 65RB!

Now THAT was educational! I knew ANACS was somehow affiliated with the ANA in the past, but I didn't know the details.
