I'm really not sure if this is a large or small date it does weigh 3.1 grams. The two lookes smash almost looks straight like a large but it has a curve to it wanted to get another opinion. I know it's unlikely for someone to find one of these I have been digging threw all the change we have saved it's been very time consuming and this is only one I have that the two loos like a small date has a slight curve in it.

Hey coinfrog, I could tell it was a large date without zooming in for a closer look, but all I could think about is ticked off I was after posting, oh probably bout 82 incorrect, large date v small date coins!! So in a way I kinda feel both of ya's pain, so don't give up mintproof, it'll eventually click, maybe it won't take you a year for the ole brain matter to finally turn on the lights!! You could've kept scrolling right on past this thread there frogman, yet strangely I couldn't resist either

At least the advice given didn't recommend finding a new hobby, as my reply implied, can't remember the exact wording, just remember getting in trouble for allowing the Budweiser do my rebuttals from that point

Oh nothing, just reminiscing about when I fist started posting questions and how meaningless and aggravating they must've been, but I mean has anything really changed?

Yeh I agree I'm slow to all this.I was inspired by my friends collection and I don't have anything like he has. I only have a handful of Wheat cent and few other pocket change coins. I have dug threw a lot of coins just to find what I have I'm very new at it all. I have tried learning some things but sometimes things seem very confusing and it could be how I interpret it I definitely struggle lol that's why I post on here I do wish I had the knowledge to know as much as you all, seems like there is alot to it. Hopefully one day I will have atleast a nice Wheat cent collection I thought I found some rare coins few times but they are just worn and letter smashed in from circulation or something. Hopefully one day I find a good one I can post to be proud of lol. I appreciate all the help you all give the books I have coins doesn't explain alot it's just an old book too probably need something up to date and more information in it. If anyone knows a good guide to learning the hobbie let me know I just don't know what or where to start like I said I have tried before but always end up asking questions. Thanks everyone
