I see no issues with authenticity. Since it is raw with bad photos, it should realize a good price for the buyer.
Edit: It is in the wrong catagory too, even better. It probably won't go up much in price than the original starting bid.

Boy, I'd be real careful. Pictures aren't great and the seller does not accept returns. Could be a "details" coin even if genuine. Don't love that. The name of the seller and the number of transactions completed seem to indicate that this is a coin dealer selling on ebay, so maybe that mitigates the risk a bit. Probably real but. Just for comparison, you can probably buy a nice certified G or VG coin for $800-900 dollars. So unless this thing stays dirt cheap, I'd say no thanks and would lean that way regardless of price since it is already at $400+.

Agree, a lack of return privileges is a flag, but a mis-described item is always returnable under ebay rules. Price aside, it's not a very attractive specimen.

Sucker bid at that price for a likely details coin.

Awww I tried I am always surprised how many people want to pay so much money for a common coin.

Are there the V.D.B. initials on the reverse of this cent?
Photo is so poor it's hard to tell if even there. I'd think you could discern something that might look like initials (full or partial) despite the poor photos. That said, I don't see anything I'd consider initials on the reverse.

VDB is there and I think it's genuine. But the buyer way overpaid for a crummy-looking example.

Disregard my last post ... I was looking at a wrong photo.
Given the photos I'm now looking at, I'd have to pass on it as it can't be determined from these photos if it meets the basic diagnostics required to confirm it's likely authentic.
