A e-bay seller included this as a "bonus" coin in a lot I purchased, anyone want to guess the SGS grade, and what it should be? pics somewhat bad, I can't seem to get good shots through a slab.

Their grade as in any coin they evaluate is probably MS-65 :)

True grade? 63 is probably a stretch. SGS? 67-68.

It's nice owning a perfect coin,
I think it MAY go 62, those are some big hits on abe's cheek and forehead, plus the spots on both sides
Rest in Peace

I don't really understand SGS. What does he gain by slabbing an obviously flawed coin as MS-70? Better to slab a blast white MS-66 or 67 as 70, or slab this coin as 66 or something. They would probably make more money because it wouldn't sound some blatantly false.

He's selling to people who don't know better. Then they come here for a painful lesson.

I know, but wouldn't he expand his business if he seemed at least a little less blatant? Kind of like NNC?

I nailed it!

Look at that carbon spot and contact marks.
Who are these so called graders? Good God.
