I can not find any others on-line. Anyone familiar with this Obverse clash? TIA.

Not a clash, there is nothing on the reverse to clash like that.
Likely a tool mark of some kind.

Could be the aurora borealis but I don't have the software to do an overlay. I have a 1946 with it at the back of George's head. Mine also has an island line inside the ear.

I have a very similar example to the OP, but on a 1950 dollar. (I call it "George has a headache."). There are other less distinct die clashes on both the obverse and reverse.

I believe it to be aurora borealis. There is a second set but faint.

Yes, check the reverse too. My 1946 has a strong clash there as well. (Obverse clash also not on coinsandcanada)
