Such small pokmarks lead me to think "bad planchet", ?

The coin didn't leave the striking chamber in that condition. It's a victim of rather severe post-strike damage--possibly road rash.

The coin it totally trashed. You could bearly tell it's a Lincoln Cent. Pitch it and search through cents worthy of looking through. This is not a mint error, it's spent a long time being grind up in some packing lot.
