We normally just call it "the valley", which the Metropolitan area from east end to the west end distance is almost 100 miles. Driving that far in the north east you could drive through 3 states. Here we never leave the city..

I'm late to the thread, but here're the items I would keep for Armaggedon, in order of importance: - Rosary (preferably made of silver) - Ammo - Wine - Food - Hard currency (silver, gold, etc.)

I added to my list to have in my emergency pack: Spare eyeglasses (readers - non prescription) straight razer and a sturdy walking stick (with a sterling silver handle)
Edit: since this is in the 'Precious metals sub forum' I'll add: my antique Sterling silver serving set so I can sit down to a nice cup of earl grey tea in the afternoon.
