Much better shape than most 1803's you run across these days when bargain hunting. I don't disagree with 4 at the minimum.
Smoother copper with what appears to be original surfaces is harder and harder to come by each and every passing day, this is a keeper, and a good exemplar for its variety and die state. I don't think the old reverse scratches hinder the appeal.
