I'll say AU-53.

Well, I figured more angles would be better, that way the details catch light and are more visible. Less isn't always more! ;-)

AU-53 - looks like hairlines and a big scratch on the cheek at some of the photo angles. So I would call this a details coin

Agree--the lower half of the AU scale, given the pics posted.

Low AU with little eye appeal, melt value IMHO. John1

AU-55 straight grade. That scratch is probably not very noticeable in hand. Lighting in photo extenuates it.

the 21(P) is a common dollar. the reverse on morgans are almost always nicer than the obverse. I grade both sides separately based on the year. your coin has definitely seen circulation and probably had some type of chemical cleaning. the white spots may be from the residuals of that which are more prominent on the reverse
AU details not particularly one a collector would put in their collection

Aaaw... geesh, oh well... I thought since the hair details are still there, etc it was better grade. It still looks pretty to me! ;-) Especially the back.
"That scratch is probably not very noticeable in hand. Lighting in photo extenuates it." YUP, didn't even see it until the photos displayed it in all its glory
"the reverse on morgans are almost always nicer than the obverse" Ah, ok... now I know!
It isn't mine anyway! ;-) I liberated it from my boyfriend. We need to go through some coins that have been in his family.
