How would one go about valuing a coin without getting it graded. I came across this Nickle the Pres. has no nose or mouth, looks weird lol.    tried to get a better picture with a different camra. Edited by BHall0039 12/30/2022 8:23 pm

Looks like a deliberate disfiguration.  to the CCF!

 Possibly a pocket piece at one point with the way it is flattened.

is the anomalous area raised above the empty fields of the coin? if so, it could be an error, higher resolution photos might help

Aliens use coins too. This one came from the Planet of the Apes. Some research will be needed to determine the exchange rate.

SEL!! You took my line - That is almost exactly what I was going to type.. Planet of the Apes coinage.. on the ape 5 cent Cornelius was imaged for it

 to the forum! I'll agree with the previous comments, this appears to be post-mint (probably intentional) damage. @sel and @dearborn - I guess we all think alike - when I saw the pic, Planet of the Apes was my first thought!
