1971-D Ike Talon Head (Leaf Clash) Overpolished Eye

gsp193 Pillar of the Community United States 975 Posts	Posted 12/30/2022 8:29 pm Picked this up a few days ago, nice Talon Head/lip clash with the obverse having strong polishing lines around and on the bust and an overpolished eye. The reverse does not have clashing anywhere or polish lines so I am thinking maybe the reverse die was changed soon after the clashing. (I would think the obverse having strong polishing lines around and on the bust should have clashed the reverse die as strong which should have resulted in polishing lines on the reverse to remove clash marks, but I may be wrong) Thanks for checking it out. Not sure about this mark in below pic. It is at a different angle than the polishing lines and lines up very close with and is angled correct where the wing would be in a clash.
