1998 Lincoln Cent Strange Die Clash

NY Islander Pillar of the Community United States 979 Posts	Posted 12/31/2022 12:52 pm I'm seeing a lot of clashes lately. This one is more unusual than the rest. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd bays have the normal clash of Abe's back and collar. But there is also what appears to be a flipped clash too. Never seen a clash like this one. Let me know what you think. Agree with a tilted strike HI. Also, the die looks rotated a few degrees. The ceiling of the memorial gets progressively wider from left to right. "We are all flawed, some MD and some PMD." Column #2 has an area near the top left and right side of the base that doesn't match the normal design for a clash in this area. It seems like this anomaly might mirror (reversed) some design elements which is why I was suggesting a counterclash. It will be interesting to see a final determination.
