I think I might have found a 1988 penny with an 1989 reverse, but I'm not entirely sure because I'm still new at this. Can anyone confirm? Thank you so much for your help!

Need better photos,but I think your coin is 005 and you want 006.

You're right, I'm noticing the 005 G is more elongated and the the 006 G is rounder. I sincerely appreciate your help!

No it's a normal 88

the 006 has a small serif on the G

Also the AME on AMERICA has different Devices there. On the RDV-005 these are rounded. On the RDV-006 they are flat.

Also the 'FG' on your coin is showing sever die wear on the initials. On the RDV-006, they are all fresh that year. (They were a replacement of wearing out dies. So they snagged the 1989 RDV-006 dies to finish out the year, creating a year variety for that year) So they would not show die wear on the 'FG' if they were the RDV-006.
