A little worse for wear, but a wonderful serial number. Thanks for sharing. It's not often that a suffix letter gets all the way to "X".

I'm working on the series of $1 that have any with Q or higher for a suffix. A novelty for sure.

X is cool!

There have been a few postings on suffixes...X and Y haven't been printed n years, I think I have five of each. they're not infrequent enough to be considered fancy, but tough to get.

to me, the X on this note has particular curb appeal because X has a binary connotation in its own right. x's and o's, x/y, and put an x if yes or no.

Good luck on your quest...I think Ws look cool too

and @DoubleEagle20, probably the biggest quirk in my database is the disproportion of Q-block bills in the 30- and 40 million range. (see my unrelated post from Dec 23 for an example) They make up like 70% of all my finds and I have no idea why. I'm really curious what serial numbers you find on your Q-block.

TSF, which Q's do you want me to check? I have all of them except 1995 GQ block.

I am beginning doubt I will ever find 1995 GQ. Only a run of 19.2 million notes.

DExx, my general observation is that for the (i dunno, 100) Q-block that I have, like 70% of the serial numbers begin with a 3 4 or 5 (vast majority begin with 4)...curious if you are seeing the same pattern? (irrespective of the prefix). There's no way that so many 4s is random, seems like the serial numbers should be evenly distributed, and the BEP tables don't give any indication of anything unusual. and it bugs the heck out of me lol

To correct, I am missing 2 of the total $1 FRN Q blocks, BQ and GQ blocks of series 1995.

For the rest of the notes, 5 start with "0", 2 start with "1", 1 with "3", 2 with "4", 4 with "5", 1 with "6", 1 with "7", 1 with "8" and 4 of them with "9".

Hope that helps!

your Q 8-digit number look normally distributed...so I guess it's just me and my quirky bills....thx for checking!
