I've used cameras for probably 60 years now. As soon as we all went computer nuts and digital cameras, I did too. I ended up with computer programs to do anything I wanted. I've got programs called Photoworks, Photoshop, Darkroom, Microsoft Digital Image Pro, Paintshop Pro, MGI Photosuite SE and many others. Then I heard about a great one called Serif. So I looked it up on the internet and found it was downloadable free. It was Serif 6. Sure didn't work well at all. Looked again and there was Serif 8 but they wanted money for this one. I contacted Serif and they said actually you can download Serif 8 free also. I did. It too is nothing to brag about. Got an email from Serif saying there is even a better one available so call the toll free number. I did. Cost $30 plus S&H. Got it, installed it, tryied to open it, large screen poped up saying to register but was all in computer symbols. Called them again. They emailed instructions and tried those. After 3 days, emails, phone calls, I know have Serif 6, 8 and 12 on my computer and none work worth having. Still can't open 12 so really don't know.
Sorry to rant on about a photo program but this is a warning. Find another program if you are thinking about Serif.

Thanks for the heads-up. Guess I'll remain "sans-Serif"

That ain't right.

For me, there's only the Gimp for photo processing. It's every bit as powerful as Photoshop, and it's free.
