Hi. I found this just today while I was going through a 10 cent coin bag from the bank. Was feeling cheated until I saw it was nearly 180 degees out. Is it worth anything over 10 cents. I would think it might seeing as our Australian coins have value added for the die rotation errors

Hi. Just thinking about this. I suppose I should do some checking. Is this the normal orientation and mine is just about 10 degrees out.

That is normal for US coins. Here we have what we call the coin turn and medal turn .
On a US Coin you flip it top to bottom to have correct orientation to view each side up right. With medals we flip the medal sideways.

Thanks Dearborn and John1. It's just a small rotation about 9 or 10 degrees. Australian coins have the same orientation on both faces.

to the CCF

Yes - Down Under your coins are medal alignment. In the USA we have coin alignment, so as already pointed out this is a typical USA nickel.
