I can't believe it, but today I got a roll of 2002 Louisiana quarters from the bank. My lucky day. The quarter here I'm curious if I'm correctly calling it a die break times two of them? Many thanks to those that take the time to look at these.

Are those raised or incuse? hard to tell not having coin in hand. If raised, I would call them die chips, if incuse - bin or bag hits.

I'm having a hard time telling. This was taken from a roll that was from the mint. Thinking of what I could use on something so small to determine. Hmm. Thanks Dearborn for your input as usual.

OK, holding different lights and the quarters at different angles under the light it seems they are incuse. Thank you for teaching this lesson of how to look further at the coin. Back to the bank it goes.

Looks like rim dings from another coin.

Die chips would be really unusual in an open field such as this - there is no adjacent design to 'chip' away. I can't think of a credible way they can occur.

If incuse then this is bag damage from banging into other coins post mint.

Rim dings from other coins can and does happen right after a coin is struck and ejected into bins in the mint. That would make it a PSD and not a PMD.
