It seems that there is material under the chin. Is this something or just excess material left after the strike? I've heard of the chin whiskers, and EPU, but I'm not sure what that stuff means. The coin is old and the photo may not be great.
The EPU / chin whiskers refers to a die clash from E Pluribus on the reverse, which often appears under the chin. Not sure if yours is, but it's in the right place. As seen here:
