If you haven't read about the auction I won recently... here is the link:
https://goccf.com/t/43525

The package came in today... I took pictures of the most fun stuff. Here is what I left out:

38 Clad JFK halves from '71 - '74
1 1961 D Washington quarter
1 Bi-Centennial Washington quarters
3 common wheats (40, 44D, 55) (and yes I checked for the DD =] )
2 Dateless Buffalos (One looks like it could be a 1915)

and then these:

Results-Of-My-Crazy-Auction-Purchase---'14d-Buff
All the silver looks to me like it has been cleaned pretty harshly (except the 1909)

and then THIS beauty:

Any recommendations on (please don't yell at me for using this word) cleaning this one? Should I try? It looks to have pretty decent detail under the dirt.. or whatever that is.

Also, any ideas on grade for this coin?

....WHEW

I almost had a heart attack when I saw this coin in there.

AMAZING!

Thanks, Chump!

(Also, I am working on getting the coins we talked about gathered together. Sorry, but it is going to take me at least a day or two. Let me know if you want to go ahead with that first trade we decided on and figure the rest out later)

This reminds me of another topic a little earlier https://goccf.com/t/42706

maybe not on as grand a scale but very similar except nobody has suggested he should contact the elderly couple and maybe give them a bonus such as the original price he offered, before he contacted them and talked them down.

Do not get me wrong I fell this is a buyer & seller beware world, but was just very surprised by comments on the other topic and nothing on this one

I'm waiting to see the value of the 1914-D buff before making a recommendation on how much more money he should send their way.

GREAT DEAL FOR $40! The 1914D nickel has some damage, but it should be worth at least $30.....not to mention the silver you got.
