Hello Everyone. Found this coin in a roll. The only reason it caught my eye is that I was looking at another coin. The Wheat Ears had a slight glimmer. I weighed the coin at 2.84 g. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Is it normal thickness? can't tell without a reference coin next to it.
This could be an acid coin, or one that was buried in acidic or caustic soil.

Just a badly corroded old cent, spend it. Ugh.

What's up Dearborn. Thanks for the reply. It just so happens that I found another 44 in the same roll. Give me a few minutes to get a picture.

Yikes this one has seen some hard living—exposed to corrosive liquid, buried in acidic soil, who knows? Maybe it was used in a kid's science fair project looking at the effect of Coca Cola on various objects.

I look forward to seeing you other find. Please just post it in a separate thread. Thx.

If this coin was some experiment they did a good job keeping it away from the rim.
