I got $100 in dimes last week and they were all uncirculated and they all have die chips and cracks that allowed me to sort them out by die pair. Here is die pair 1. Roosevelt looks like he has a big wart or cold sore in the corner of his mouth and a big scab above his eye on the obverse, and there is a small die chip at the base of the torch. I have several rolls worth of this variety, all from the same die.

I am going to post all 5 die pairs I have found in this thread, all in their own reply, and clearly labeled.

Die pair 2, Roosevelt has some cracking in his hair and some above his eye on the obverse and on the reverse a fairly large die crack on the base of the torch, a miniscule one on the flame, and another miniscule one on the lowest pair of oak leaves. I also have several rolls worth of dimes from this die pair, as is with the rest.

Die pair 3, there is a die crack on the base of the torch, and nothing special on the obverse.

Die pair 4, Roosevelt has a split eyebrow (die crack) and there is a die chip in the oak leaves.

Die pair 5, Roosevelt has a big scab above his eye, and nothing special about the rest of the obverse or reverse.

Anyone think it is worth sending a whole roll from each die pair for verification and grading? I have several rolls for each die pair.

Thank you!

Mods: if you need to split this into their own seperate threads you may do so.

Just spenders. Die events are just part of the normal die wearing. Not a plus, actually it can detract value if it is too eye catching. Spenders.

Will do! I just didn't want to have to make a new title for each thread.
