@CuJohn and @John. I work to made a table how was report and has the all numbers. Do not thing it is easy. Each year they made the report according by FY which start on July 1 till June 30 next year. in the same report we have all FY then the calendar year (ex in June 30 1983 has the calendar year of 1982) and then you has the tables for the January 1 1983 till June 30 1983. Apparently is nice and easy but it is not. In order to see how many of those coins was in Bronze and how many was in CPZ I have to go to the costs of the production by material and divide by the weight of the coin to have the number. Please give me a little time and I come back because this it is an ambiguate point in the coins minting and I want to go to the bottom.

would be the problem of releasing the 200,000,000 copper cents already minted.
For this I have to do same calculus for Philadelphia.

I do not see the mint "melting" copper plated zinc core cents. Are there government records for this time period?
I do not say they recall CPZ, I say that they recall Copper coins (bronze and brass) This we can see from the reports of 1986 and 1987 most significative in numbers. They put those numbers in recoinage and Cu from coins seigniorage by $ of the price of the Cu of that time.
It is complicate but I will come to the bottom.
