New Here From West Virginia

Hello I'm new here. I'm from the small town of Winfield, West Virginia. USA.
I'm completely new to all of this. I'm getting into coins kind of as a respectful remembrance for my former Brother-in-Law Jason who has passed away and he would always ask me for my change and then he would spend hours looking through it. Every time he found something he would always send me pictures and descriptions of what he found and what its history would have been on certain coins. So if there are any pointers or resources of information that someone might think would be helpful to someone like me I would be ever so grateful for your assistance and kindness. His favorite old coin was his Buffalo nickel. Not sure what date it was but he carried it in his fifth pocket everywhere he went and he loved pulling it out and showing it to the kids and sparking their curiosity and getting them involved with coin collecting.
