My laymans thoughts are the difference in colors on the "clip itself" may be a factor. The fact another coin of the same year (I tried earlier with a 1973, but could not find for photo, same result) I do feel its worth the cost of sending it in. However I noticed the Canadian appraiser ICCS does not do flaws so if there is a spot to send it please let me know, but I can google too, this is just new news today, lol I hope the pics are good, I have a scope on the way and can upload better pics if needed. You could ask a local dealer what they think. I adore Canadian coins. I have quite the collection, although they are not technically spendable in the States. One slipped into my purchase a while back and the clerk said "oh no, we can't take THAT! She acted like the coin would hurt her if she took it. Very comical! Welcome aboard!
