Only just looked at this coin and found a few errors please let me know about the doubling on coin as well.

Looking at this coin without magnifying you can see the error near outer rim clearly.

If that isn't some sort of residue, it could be a tool mark / die gouge? These are tiny coins, so the mark would look relatively large.

I have developed an interest in world coins that were produced by the U.S. Mint, especially during the WWII era. I'm slowly gathering a set of them myself.

Yes world war 2 coins are interesting alot we're melted during the war, I have many different world coins from this era although this is a interesting one.
