Additional Help With 1 Falus Malwa M87B

David Graham Pillar of the Community Australia 1610 Posts	Posted 01/30/2023 5:50 pm Hi all, If I'm correct I have a 1 Falus from Malwa with a Chanderi mint mark GG M87B. Is that correct? What I'm having trouble with is locating a date. Also the obverse is slightly different to the one pictured in GG. Is that normal? All help appreciated. Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

Seeker55 Pillar of the Community United States 634 Posts	Posted 01/30/2023 8:56 pm Yes I can confirm bd251's identification that it's 904. They wrote the 4 in an unusual way. Here's another example dated 904 using the same unusual 4. https://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=105196 Another way to confirm this is that G&G says these coins were made from AH 901-906, and the last digit doesn't look like a 1, 2, 3, 5, or 6, so by the process of elimination must be a 4. Although when it comes to elimination, it doesn't look like 4 either so without the extra knowledge, it could be any number from 1-6 written in a weird way.
