I've run across a 1907 Indian Head cent and noticed there appears to be some sort of doubling on the reverse lettering. I'm still rather uneducated about this stuff, though I'm doing my best to research all I can in my spare time. I was hoping a couple of you folks might be so kind as to give me your opinions on whether you think this is some type of doubling. (sorry for so many pics... wanted to make sure I zoomed the cam in close enough to to see the doubling I'm talking about.)

I haven't looked too far to find the same thing in Heritage archives on a proof example. You'll need a free login to zoom in on the images. Especially the E in Cent looks exactly the same.

Or see the PCGS images directly https://www.PCGS.com/cert/42184538

Not sure what it is, perhaps some form of what's called Longacre doubling. Here's another one in MS66 https://www.PCGS.com/cert/41948722. Clicking thru a few more Heritage examples it would appear to be common.

Looks like Longacre "shelf doubling" - a part of the original design.
