1944 P Cent With Doubled Die Reverse / DDR And Concentric Lathe Lines

CRHunting Valued Member United States 172 Posts	Posted 02/06/2023 2:30 pm Hey Everyone, I picked up this coin recently and after scoping it I have found a few interesting areas of the coin It appears to have a very minor DDR based on the slightly egg shaped dot and extra thickness on the bottom of the E and L in E Pluribus. It also appears to have concentric lathe lines on the reverse. I have a few concentric lathe lines coins like the 1996 D but none are on wheat cents. I couldn't match it up with anything on Variety Vista or CopperCoins.com so I thought I'd post it here and see what the community thinks. Thanks! Report this Post to the Staff

I might send some images to Chuck and Eric at Coppercoins to see if they think there's enough extra thickness to even warrant attribution. At least the lathe lines would provide extremely easy to see die markers. :-) Report this Post to the Staff
