Don't buy new issues from the US Mint, only buy in the aftermarket. That is what I do with the silver proofs National Park series. Much cheaper that way.

Defintely a good option, but by purchasing from the aftermarket, not only do you not get them in your hands right away (if you're an instant gratification kind of person), you also run the risk of getting cherrypicked sets/coins.

How did this strategy work with the 2012 set? How about the 2021 Morgan and Peace dollars?

I know the costs from the US Mint are high now (overpriced), but I always buy things TODAY instead of waiting for possible drops in pricing. Sometimes it doesn't happen.

Of course they raised the prices on the 2023 Morgan/Peace reverse proofs as well. Year keeps getting more expensive.

If that is true, then Mint pricing is still too low. Let's double the price every year and see what happens. I mean, if people buy regardless of what things cost then the sky is the limit.

umm lets not - That would take the hobby out of the common hand and put it in the hands of the rich and entitled.

I wonder if the increased shipping costs are included in their prices (ofcourse, I'm sure)? What I mean by that is the shipping of the metals to the Mint for processing. Has the shipping cost to customers also gone up? I had a subscription for the ATB silver sets but, don't have any subscriptions for now.

I agree. I want them sooner rather than later.
