Hello! Bought this coin from a coin shop to put with my collection and noticed on the "United States of America", the America seems to have extra metal in-between the letters or wasn't punched correctly. Would it be an error?

Thank you for any advice and even just the read!

Ducks, that seems to be a die break in America. Not much added value. But based on the obverse graffiti, I hope you didn't pay much for this coin.

Caused by a broken die.
Also the obverse scratches make it a damaged coin.

@Hondo Boguss, Oh ok, well that actually awesome. I don't have a die break in my collection yet. So yay! And I think I payed maybe 10$ for it.

@JimmyD I like damaged coins, so that ok.

Thank you guys for replying! I appreciate it

Ducks, you'd pay more than $10 for a meal from McDonald's, so you did ok!
