I may not have put this in the correct sub forum. The SS Central America shipwreck has an interesting history including legal battles over the treasure. Many of the coins, gold have been sold but recently Holabird had an auction with one remaining of the artifacts. The virtual catalogs to me are amazing to look at. People's cloths, suitcases, personal items, letters, paper bills, some coins, the ship's kitchen items cups, plates, lots of stuff, just very interesting to look at. There's a nearly two lb. gold bar as well. Click auctions, then virtual catalogs.

Crazy stuff! I loved the underwater photo gallery that showed the gold bars glistening on the sea floor.

Seems kind of morbid to want to buy clothes and other personal items off a boat where 425 people died. The coins and gold are cool of course.
