I found a 91d penny with major rim error I don't think it's post mint cause it's like the fifth one I came across so far is from the 91d penny and one in the 2000s

Not an error.
Looks like it was encased in a bezel or possibly a "lucky penny " holder. In any case it is classed as PMD and adds no value.

When the plating is removed, the zinc rot sets in faster. The naked zinc doesn't like oxygen. Rot sets in fast on the more zinc that is exposed.
