2008 D Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC Planchet Damage?

RobO411 Pillar of the Community United States 2404 Posts	Posted 02/15/2023 12:35 pm I'm thinking this ( might ) be a Pre-strike planchet damaged coin. Back on 3/28/2021 I post one here at CCF and Mike Diamond remarked about it being one. Has anyone else run across one? This could be my forth. Looking at the zinc layer it's not being eaten away like zinc rot. Looks like just the copper is being eaten ( away?) Sorry for a few extra pictures. Thank you for taking your time and comments. I can tell you this was happened during the annealing, for this reason I say blank because was before the milling to become a planchet. Is nice find and not many to see around.
