Not a high grade piece or specially scarce, but a nice coin with few detractions besides light hairlines and marks, and pretty brown toning. Sheldon S-137, R-2+. The reverse die is bulged at ICA. How would you grade her? Thanks!

Another great looking coin GERMANICVS
It looks at least as good as my S-141 that was graded F12.

I've always beat my head against the wall with these early coppers when it comes to how a TPG looks at wear vs strike. I always tend to ignore the strike as that occurred at the mint. with that said I see a nice sharp date, some separation of the hair tie, very little wear on the breast and about 50% of the front of the drape. on the reverse nice sharp denticles, sharp letters in STATES and nice definition on the tops of the bows. technically i'd call it F15 but if strike weakness is considered as part of the grade i'd say F12. nice example and the die bulge, offset obverse strike and weakness in areas just add character to this

There's enough there for F15, F12 at the minimum Really nice coin.

I always love your photos of coppers and early silver!! I'll be a little more optimistic and say VF-20. The reverse has a lot of detail with great surfaces.
