I am really new to coin collecting/coin roll hunting. I found a shield penny that looks like the shield has a line thru the "one Cent".

Would love to know if this is just odd vandalism or an actual mint error.

Its a circle. Not just a line. Look closely.

It is from a coin roller machine, the one at the end of the roll. As the coins are rolled and paper is wrapped tightly to hold coin together, it damages the coin.

Agreed - that is damage from contact with a coin roll crimping machine. If you search many coins going forward you will unfortunately encounter this quite often.

I do not keep for rolling machine because the circle is far to small comparative with Rolling machine. Something was punch on the coin after Mint and was punch twice.

Just an PMD intentionally.
