Must say this 1971S LMC is a little difficult to determine, and I was wondering how others feel about this. With the heavy MD present it is difficult to say whether this is an RPM or not. I found a couple of Wexler examples, WRPM-013 & an unknown, that resemble this, but could use a second opinion. Thank you all very much.

All I'm seeing is MD, flat/shelf like appearance in the same direction (north) on the date & MM.

Agreed, MD. Not an RPM.

Thanks ijn1944 & John1 for the feedback. The south part of the middle of the S had me wondering.

After looking much closer at FS-01-1971S-101 [032] within the Cherrypicker's guide, just as a comparison, since this is for a proof mint, the overall thickness is similar and helps calibrate the eyes when decerning MD effects over RPMs.
