Not my coin. Curious to know what you all think about this one. Thanks!

F15 details, cleaned, environmental damage is likely under all of the reverse crud. Surprised NGC slabbed it like that.

Due to the "Liberty" being defined and most of the feathers are evident, except the tips.and "E Pluribus Unum" is clear, and the hair over the forehead is mostly visible, I would put this somewhere around the parameters of a VF 20. Perhaps downgraded a bit due to the grime and scratches. Not bad for a 1907 O Barber.

The reverse is a 30 and the obverse a 25. I think it straight graded VF-25.

VF20 details? tough call with those scratches. I'm going to say straight but the eye appeal is just not there at VF values

NGC straight graded this one F-15. I thought this was an interesting one to look at. It has VF detail, but I think NGC knocked it big for eye appeal.

Your coin has the same amount of detail as the VF-25 plate coin at PCGS photo grade. But eye appeal is lacking.

I would have guessed VF details (cleaned). I think you did OK.

I didn't buy this one. I just thought it was an interesting example to share.

I'm glad you didn't buy it. Definitely not a fan.

The failure to treat the ongoing surface issues before slabbing is somewhat concerning. NGC would not usually slab coins like this, at least not in the past, but would instead often body bag them and suggest conservation to arrest any further damage. I'm not sure how it got into the slab in the first place.
