Hi everyone, I am having some difficulty IDing this ancient coin for a family member.

Unfortunately, I just have the images and not the exact diameter and weight. But my relative claims that the coin is "nearly the size of a silver dollar" and is bronze.

The obverse appears to have a male bust left, but no text is detectable in this state of preservation. The reverse, however, has a very nice, discernible griffin left with a wheel under one fore paw.

I have seen a couple of Egyptian coins that are much smaller with similar griffins facing right, but nothing with a similar bust. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

That's a sphinx, not a griffin. Certainly a Provincial.

The coins of Egypt from these emperors that are the drachms always impressed me for being like 30 mm and often more. Flat on the reverse and curved up like a mound as well. I have a Hadrian on my desk with Nilus the River God which is common compared to yours. Nice coins!
