This is Machine Doubling from a very high bounce after the strike by a very loose machine. Note the tops are affected, but the width/height are the same a normal. Not a doubled die. Machine Doubling is a striking issue. A doubled die comes from a die that show hub doubling making the devices wider/taller than normal. This is a Machine Doubling issue with your coin. The next coin struck buy that machine could show a different set of Machine Doubling on it.

Note these were found in original rolls. But not there is a mark on the die and this seen on all the images on the same spot. But the Machine Doubling is slightly different on each one. It is doesn't always happen the same from strike to strike. Hub doubling is exactly the same, strike after strike. (But also be affected by Machine Doubling as they are two different processes.

Note on these 4 different coins. The hub doubling is the same strike per strike, but the Machine Doubling is affecting the devices slightly differently on each strike. ( Machine Doubling is very common on the 1968-1972 cents)
