Is this coin slabbed? Very nice and probably a reasonable cost depending upon it's grade. Nice, rare coin there NumisStudent!

No, the coin is not slabbed. Thanks for your comment. Any thoughts on the grade?

You're obsessed with this new grading AI

I'll go with the general consensus here at MS-64+. Just a blanket AU is not an actual grade IMO.
I would stop with that APP and go with the human function of grading as that's what the grading system goes by and so far seems to be more accurate. I think the APP is designed for new collectors to just give them a baseline.

I think the app is designed to eventually outpace human graders.

So are robots but, do we want to really go that route? Besides, the hobby wouldn't be nearly as fun!

I remember the incessant arguments in the 80's about how third party slab grading was going to kill coin collecting and do we want to go there. And here we are.

Quote: not in our lifetime LOL, I remember that exact thing being said about a computer being able to beat the best chess players because they didn't have human creativity. I remember Gary Kasparov's face when he was trounced by Deep Blue. Do you think coin grading is harder than what Gary Kasparov does when he plays chess?
