Hi everyone,
Wondering if anyone can help with grading of this penny? Also, should I dip it in acetone to bring back the lustre? Or any ideas on how to clean it?
The weight of this 43 penny is 2.6 g. However, I read that these should weigh 2.8 g. Any feedback on this would also be appreciated.
Thanks!

I'll say EF-45, perhaps low AU. Being made of steel, they hardly wore at all. An acetone dip will not restore the luster.

For the most part the Steel cents aren't a worthy coin. They're more interesting to collect with their history.

You said a word that most, not all coin collectors rarely say - "clean". Personally, I don't believe in cleaning ANY coins. Others may disagree but, that's always been my belief and I respect their's.

Nice that you have a Steelie though!

Acetone won't help that coin at all.
Use it as a space-filler until you can get a better one.

Agree with XF45 range. Nothing you can do to restore the surfaces other than causing damage.

Keep it as-is and enjoy the history.

Acetone is worth more than the coin.
