I believe this is a shattered die, however I would like some input. It seems to be the only explanation that I can find. I like it, kind of has the look of Greek mythology, or a meteor impact.

Looks like PMD to me. An arc burn maybe?

Perhaps dried, translucent gunk/glue. For fun, suggest soaking the coin in 100% acetone.

Check the rim for exit point on arc burn not sure I see an exit point for an arc but maybe hard to say with out coin in hand

I'll check the rim, I don't recall one, but I will look just the same. Thanks for the advice. Never saw one like it before. I'll post some pics of rim in a bit, in case you guys see something.
