(more pics to come)
I pulled a tube of 1918 D pennies that I bought at auction in 2019, and I saw the apparent extra "9" with naked eye, on the top penny. Did the previous owner notice it too?
Anyway, there are several indications of DDO on the date, but then I found the "R" in Trust has a bold extra loop!
Anyway, I know that people will trash this, and I already know the negative comments, "no"..."just a 1918 D worth about .15"...."I don't see anything"...."need better pics"...
If anyone has anything positive PLEASE indulge me!

You have to understand something.... in order for us to help you, its imperative for you to help us, by supplying detailed/quality pics. Based on the photos you supplied so far, its impossible to determine if there is separation on the numbers & letters.

To be honest--given the images posted--I'm not seeing doubled die features. I do see hits and digs which are likely to have pushed/shaped metal.

I see the 'lump' between the 1 and 9 in the date, but to me, I don't believe it's a DDO feature.

Please consider that you have the coin in-hand. You can tilt and turn it, you can use any lighting you wish, and use any magnification you chose. We cannot do the same. We only have your photos to work with.

You are limiting yourself by tying our hands with what comments we are allowed to give. Did you check all three reference sites we all need to check?

While it's somewhat difficult to see the "R" area in Trust clearly, I can see that something is there. As for the "9", the "doubling" seems to be a bit distanced to the left to substantiate a double. But, again, looking at these with the naked eye (as you do) may be the best way to go. The "E" and the "P" in EPU caught my eye as damage. They look like they've taken a few hits along their long lifetime of the coin. The color of your coin seems a bit off although I have seen some of the early cents that are in that condition.

It's exciting to find older Cents like your's and it's a keeper. Perhaps if you have a trusted local dealer take a "hands-on" look-see you may be able to get a more complete analysis.

My Mom was born in 1919 so I have atleast a couple dozen of the '18's.
