I have someone wanting me to buy it from them. This is the first time I have ever seen one and don't know anything about it. So was wondering what y'all would think it was worth. If there are any errors? Stuff like that.

It's an 1848 large cent.

Pretty blurry photos

Some obverse damage K11

I'd value it around $15 tops.

How much is the seller asking for it.
That would determine whether to buy it or not.

Sharper pics needed, please. These are pretty much useless.

I'd pay $8 for it. Common coin.

Even though the photos are blurry, it looks pretty decent. 15 for sure, maybe 20 shipped max.

Agree, this one would probably sell for $15.

obviously blurry photos are difficult to assess a coin however this is a common date braided hair large cent. its hard to see if there are any major issues that would cause the coin to receive a details designation (some sort of post mint damage). there looks like there may be an "X" across the jaw line and something happening between star 5 and 6 which we would call K11 using a clock. the mark across the jaw could detail the coin meaning the value would be significantly less than the book value. I think the coin may be in the F15-VF20 range. An unimpaired VF20 would retail for about $35-50. with the 2 issues noted cut that in half for a retail value. I'm pretty much in line with everyone else regarding what I would pay for it. i'd say $15 tops. i'd rather have one that does not have issues so I personally i'd pass.

Even though the photos are blurry and any details are difficult to determine...I'm thinking that it might squeak into atleast a fine condition. Here's a link for you to help determine price but, you definitely should try to post clearer photos so that we can better determine condition.

I'll point out that there's a whole family of large cent counterfeits out there. Even though it's a low value coin, that doesn't stop them. Despite the blurry image it seems odd to me that the crosslet on the 4 doesn't appear. Perhaps it's the images.

Without an example in your collection, this might just be a good start for you ... $10 max IMO

Good Luck !
