Is the object on Lincoln's cheek incuse or proud of the surface? I can't tell with all the shadowing in your photo.

If it's proud of the surface then I say it's a die chip in a prominent location. Cud's always involve the rim and die breaks and are never described at an internal location.

Cannot be a Cud on the interior of the coin research the definition of a Cud. Lots of excellent examples can be found in past pages here within CCF.

You can learn everything you need to know on error coins by reading thought pages here on CCF as well as past postings. Learn how coins are made and you won't have to ask us when an unusual coin appears. Error coins are rare and aren't easy to find, but are very satisfying when you do locate them on your own.
