Looks like Reed Marks on the obverse. That's what MD looks like on incused devices. Quarters are famous for it. MD stretches out the devises. A DD on incused devices would make them skinnier.

The areas towards the rim direction look like die flow lines. (part of the die aging process) The reverse will never have a DDR on the incuse devices on the reverse. These enlargement are caused by Machine Doubling on incuse devices. (Enlarges the devices with the Machine Doubling on incuse devices. Only raised devices will show the enlarging of the devices on a doubled die) But the Doubled Dies on these quarters will be on the central areas of the design on both sides of the designs. (Look up this listings to see what you should be looking for on these doubled dies) Just a normal coin. Spender.

You could always check for double die varieties on it, I know there were a couple in the windows of the building!
