Question Regarding Striking Mughal Empire 1/2 Rupees

I think it might depend on the local practice in the mint in question; some mints would have used specially-made half-rupee dies, others would have used a generic die for all denominations. It probably depended on how often fractional rupees were struck at that mint - some mints made lots of half-rupees, some made none at all. A mint that only rarely struck half-rupees would probably have simply used a regular rupee die pair, when the need arose.
