Yes that Lincoln set will be a hard one I will be logged in waiting but hast time I tried to get a 50,000 limited one I got the order in right away but did not get them.
So who knows about this one maybe I will do both log in try and place the order and also call and order them from the 1st source that gets the order placed.

Just got my order in for 5 sets with a ship date of 3-20-09. I also like the US Mint wrapper.

The max is 5 two roll sets right now. Has anyone been able to order more than that?

Interesting, my Cent rolls are back-ordered for 3-19-09, not 3-20-09.
I also ordered two more Lincoln Dollars today, which are back-ordered for 3-13-09, which happens to be the same day of my order (today!)...

I initially tried ordering 10 sets at 12:03 and the system didn't allow me. It said the maximum per HH was 5. My order then went through at 12:05 for 5 sets.

I placed my order at 12:16 and the invoice page said "back-ordered" and I would have them shipped out on 3-19-09, all the time us all waiting for this date to order, and back-ordered, go figure... Some how I figure there is a stock-pile somewhere and this is all planned out to set the stage for a possible no show at the banks, why would they send them to the banks, when they are doing soooo well taking us for a ride and WE ARE ALL paying good money for it!

Quote: is that 50K order limit a confirmed limit? Yes, the 50,000 limit is virtually set in stone right now. The special Lincoln set will contain a proof Lincoln commem- that is the limiting factor. The commemorative legislation was written in such a way as to limit total mintage(proof and MS) to 500,000. 50,000 proofs have been set aside for the set but the individual sales of the commems so far is at 380,000+ and the remaining ~70,000 will probably sell out in the next few weeks. The only way the Mint could produce more than 50,000 sets would be to suspend sales of the individual commems and repackage them in the sets, that is unlikely.

I ordered two sets and two more Lincoln Dollars. Hopefully, I will be able to get at least one of the Special Lincoln sets. Hopefully, the mint will put a limit on the number of Special Lincoln sets you can order.

personally I am sick and tired of those crooks getting stuff prior to the collectors and then ripping off the poor unknowing..and having to explain to the person in front of me that they got taken and that I'm not trying to cheat them.....

The comments about HSN got me to thinking about rock concert tickets. Try as I might I could never get "good seats", but the radio station always had "front row seats" to give to the first caller. I know they sponsored the show, but I wish they had to stand in line like I did. Same thing with HSN. They should have one guy on the 'puter or phone ordering them 5 at a time like we do. And now that I think about it...they should be held to a house hold limit like us.
