Apologies for so many coin questions of late. Am taking the opportunity while it's wet in Brisbane to process some of my Indian coins. I have a Malwa falus GG#M172 that I suspect is dated 939 (with a backwards 3). This date would however be outside the dates indicated by GG. It may be possible it is 937 with the last numeral being the left upstroke of a V. Would appreciate some feedback from those with more experience.
I just found this image on the net. The 1st and 3rd numbers are definitely the same. They listed the coin as 939. It it possible Krause is wrong and there is a 939 year, especially since 938 is recognised by Krause? I also located a Malwa falus from 931 and there is a clear distinction between the 9 and the 1. Am strongly thinking of modifying Numista to include 939.
